Commercial Description:
Christoffel Robertus is a low-fermenting ruby-red beer, brewed in the Münchener-style. It is a malty, fresh beer with a light sweetness. The typical hopbitterness found in Blond, is very lightly present in Robertus. The use of an extensive amount of selected barley gives Robertus the special malty taste and aroma.

This beer has a amber body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a lot of carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is bitter with moutig afther tast .

Bottled. Dark amber color with a lot of foam, beige head and a little bit persistent, keep a thin lace. Aroma is roasted malt and toffee, flavor is kind sweet caramel ans roasted sugar, something like that. Mouthfeel isquite bitter, but not too much.

Looks like tea brewing in the sun with a big diminishing head. Malts in the aroma, maybe a little hop in the nose. Light in the flavor, sweet malts through and through. I get a little hop bite in the end a little acidic. A pleasant beer, drinkable.

Gorgeous brunette w/ rapidly dying head, my glass may have been wet. Not as big of a saaz aroma as the blond, did they even use saaz in this one?? Malt makes more of an impression here than the blond, hops still make an impact, reminds me of a slightly more hoppy O-fest, now on this site I see it is listed as Vienna. I’d like a bit more maltiness though, a bit dissapointing directly following the blond.

Bottle. Dark amber red with big head. Aroma is spicy and fruity. A bit citrusy with sourness in the finish.

Poured hazy copper with soft off white head. Smelled fruity sweet, with hints of brown sugar. Tasted like fermented berries and plum, sugary sweet, maybe a little carmel. Finishes a little bitter.
