Commercial Description:
Christoffel Robertus is a low-fermenting ruby-red beer, brewed in the Münchener-style. It is a malty, fresh beer with a light sweetness. The typical hopbitterness found in Blond, is very lightly present in Robertus. The use of an extensive amount of selected barley gives Robertus the special malty taste and aroma.

Poured hazy copper with soft off white head. Smelled fruity sweet, with hints of brown sugar. Tasted like fermented berries and plum, sugary sweet, maybe a little carmel. Finishes a little bitter.

Flip-cap bottle 33 cl. The bottle almost exploded when I opened it and I spillt about 1/3 of the beer. Pours a cloudy brown with a medium off-white head and a fruity, malty aroma. The taste is really malty with notes of rye-bread, wood, berry and some caramel somewhere. It is a nice beer, not the best, but it is good

Pretty good. I liked it better than the blond. Good thing there is a wire holding the cap on this thing. Thing could take out an eye or small plane. Alcohol is *robertus* and for me, the aroma was the best, and most noticeable thing.

I'm not really familiar with Vienna style lagers, and so this was a treat. Beautiful creamy foam sits atop a hazy coppery chestnut body. Malty and fruity, but subtly so, with a lingering fresh palate and a touch of bitter at the very end. A little thin in the body but really, very nice.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Lovely reddish colour with beige head, slightly hazy. Biscuity, toasty, malt aroma. Pleasant malty taste with a little bit of hop in the finish. Very good.

Ruby amber with a decent head. Sweet aroma, a bit spicy. The flavour has loads of caramel and a bitter finish that unfortunately ends on a sour string.

Red colour. Nose with notes of malt. Taste malty but too much carbonation, which isn´t nice. I had expected more.

Aroma: malty and sweet with some fruit and jelly crystal notes. Appearance: reddy brown with some haziness, small white head and some lacing. Flavour: some sour fruit, sweet malt and a little easter egg chocolate. Palate: medium mouthfeel and lingering mild bitterness.
