Commercial Description:
Christoffel Robertus is a low-fermenting ruby-red beer, brewed in the Münchener-style. It is a malty, fresh beer with a light sweetness. The typical hopbitterness found in Blond, is very lightly present in Robertus. The use of an extensive amount of selected barley gives Robertus the special malty taste and aroma.

Bottled. Orange-brown, hazy beer with a small off-white head. Caramel and some spicyness in the nose. Caramel, spice and hops in the flavor, with a medium body. Decent beer. (060819)

Deep copper coloured beer with a thick pale yellow head. Nutty and malty aroma with a noticable noble hop aroma as well. Flavour is well balance with strong bready and toasty malt accented beer. Light nuttiness in the finish. Well done.

Pours a clear, light brown body with ruby highlights. The head, intially tall and bubbly, soon transforms into a slender halo. The aroma is a mixture of caramel and butterscotch with a hint of raisins. Light-bodied and lively in the mouth, it presents a sweet malty flavor, caramel, toffee, and butterscotch. The fruit is gone, but a soft, mild bitterness takes its place. The finish is sweet with a touch of nutty bitterness. I could drink a lot of these in one sitting.

Light roasted, light raisin aroma. Brown with orange tint, off-white head, fair lace. Sweet, a bit like a alt, fruity, no strong hops. Long lasting sweet and dry finish.

Draft at Cock & Bull, Sarasota, FL. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malty aroma. Medium body. Medium sweet fruity flavor with a medium sweet finish of average duration.
