Aroma is sweet, caramel, bready, plum/raisin -- seems like it belongs in a freshly produced pastry. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, raisin and light cherry, floral hoppiness. Light-medium body seems a bit thin. leaparsons (4737), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

Aromas are sweet, smooth chocolate with a contrasting but complementary fruity sourness. Flavours are earthy and fruity, especially berries with a malty, sweet base. Dry on the finish. Quite addictive. RichardGretton (3145), Leicestershire, England

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 13, 2004 Gorgeous brunette w/ rapidly dying head, my glass may have been wet. Not as big of a saaz aroma as the blond, did they even use saaz in this one?? Malt makes more of an impression here than the blond, hops still make an impact, reminds me of a slightly more hoppy O-fest, now on this site I see it is listed as Vienna. I’d like a bit more maltiness though, a bit dissapointing directly following the blond. Syd (901), Waconia, Minnesota, USA

The aroma is mild caramel and slightly spicy. The flavor is of caramel and some hops. Overall, this one is different, but drinks pretty well. Sanchex (223), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 3, 2005 Strong, floral, perfumey hop nose somewhat overshadows toasty Vienna malt. Aroma also displays strong pineapple, orange fruity esters that while not unpleasant, seem out of place in a lager. Very cloudy amber-brown with decent, off-white head that laces well. Soft, toasty malt character up front with a fair bitterness in the dry finish. Fruity esters are less apparent though still notable in the flavour. Medium body with smooth texture and moderate carbonation that engages the tongue. Never overtly sweet or cloying. Overall a (very) good beer though the fruitiness seems misplaced and distracting. Lager glass, just above fridge temp. Bottle (Half Time, Mar. 2005). kkearn (1002), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
