Nut brown - orange, good off-white head. Fruity hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied, fruity - a bit banana, mango and water melon mixed with flowery hops. Long fruity aftertaste. Unfortunately this patch was a bit out of date. FROTHINGSLOSH (2036), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

Sampled from a rather nice 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized tan head. The beer is very heavily carbonated. The aroma is fairly faint but has light elements of ripe fruit and molasses. The flavor is bitter with a hint of molasses and ripe fruit and a moderate brown sugar element. The finish is tangy. The overall flavor is pleasant but rather subdued. This is not a particularly remarkable beer. But at least it was not crap like the blond. MrManning (1655), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2007 Pours deep amber with a frothed up, beige head. Nutty hopped up aroma, some bread, spicy malts. FLavour profile matches the aroma as far as the nuttiness goes. Very malty, pretty sweet, like a sweet brown ale. Good carbo. Pours to a cloudy brownish gold, with an off-white head that dissipates soon, but leaves good lacing. Initial aroma is malty sweetness, nuts and caramel, but as the glass warms, the aroma is much more fruity, mostly apples and grapes. Flavor is a sour fruit, again, apples and grapes, and the finish is sour and dry, but good. It’s a shame this is not made any longer. blueduk (118), Eugene, Oregon, USA
