Malts in the aroma, maybe a little hop in the nose. Light in the flavor, sweet malts through and through. I get a little hop bite in the end a little acidic. A pleasant beer, drinkable. mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | May 3, 2007 Pours a dark reddish-brown with a momentary head and no lace. Aroma of sweet malt and dark... meat? Has a faint taste that reminds me of the juice from a medium-rare steak, along with a sweetness otherwise well-balanced with nice tart hops. Lingering but faint finish, thin body, and low carb. This would be an excellent beer with a bit more head, alongside a steak or beef stew. Otherwise sadly lacking. dkachur (2425), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

The bottle almost exploded when I opened it and I spillt about 1/3 of the beer. Pours a cloudy brown with a medium off-white head and a fruity, malty aroma. The taste is really malty with notes of rye-bread, wood, berry and some caramel somewhere. It is a nice beer, not the best, but it is good
