Aroma has oak and caramel. The taste is grass, barley and a little touch of chocolate. Overall, this is fairly light in both smell and taste. johninmelb (695), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2006 Strongly malty nose. Poors cloudy brown with big bubbles and a weak head. Taste is really fresh, sweet and malty with a slightly dry finish - very nice - but it is let down by the over-carbing. Sort that out, and this would be a winner. sloth (1681), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Malty nose, faintly earthy. Medium body. Medium sweet malt flavors, lightly toasty with notes of caramel and a touch of chocolate malt and yeast. Medium sweet, nutty finish. silverbullet (17), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 19, 2002 Cloudy and I don’t find that appealing. I do like the smell. Tiny bit sweet. The taste is not for me however. Not bad, but too complex. Mouthfeel is nice, nice and crisp. Again, not a bad beer, but just not the kind I like. Steib (581), Queen Creek, Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 17, 2005 Looks like tea brewing in the sun with a big diminishing head. Malts in the aroma, maybe a little hop in the nose. Light in the flavor, sweet malts through and through. I get a little hop bite in the end a little acidic. A pleasant beer, drinkable. The bottle almost exploded when I opened it and I spillt about 1/3 of the beer. Pours a cloudy brown with a medium off-white head and a fruity, malty aroma. The taste is really malty with notes of rye-bread, wood, berry and some caramel somewhere. It is a nice beer, not the best, but it is good
