Commercial Description:
Christoffel Robertus is a low-fermenting ruby-red beer, brewed in the Münchener-style. It is a malty, fresh beer with a light sweetness. The typical hopbitterness found in Blond, is very lightly present in Robertus. The use of an extensive amount of selected barley gives Robertus the special malty taste and aroma.

Strange head that only covered half of the glass for the entire beer. A bright amber coloring. Aroma has oak and caramel. The taste is grass, barley and a little touch of chocolate. Overall, this is fairly light in both smell and taste.

Strongly malty nose. Poors cloudy brown with big bubbles and a weak head. Taste is really fresh, sweet and malty with a slightly dry finish - very nice - but it is let down by the over-carbing. Sort that out, and this would be a winner.

Small tan head, fair retention and scant lacing. Hazy brown color. Malty nose, faintly earthy. Medium body. Medium sweet malt flavors, lightly toasty with notes of caramel and a touch of chocolate malt and yeast. Medium sweet, nutty finish.

Cloudy and I don’t find that appealing. I do like the smell. Tiny bit sweet. The taste is not for me however. Not bad, but too complex. Mouthfeel is nice, nice and crisp. Again, not a bad beer, but just not the kind I like.

Looks like tea brewing in the sun with a big diminishing head. Malts in the aroma, maybe a little hop in the nose. Light in the flavor, sweet malts through and through. I get a little hop bite in the end a little acidic. A pleasant beer, drinkable.

Bottled. Dark amber color with a lot of foam, beige head and a little bit persistent, keep a thin lace. Aroma is roasted malt and toffee, flavor is kind sweet caramel ans roasted sugar, something like that. Mouthfeel isquite bitter, but not too much.

Flip-cap bottle 33 cl. The bottle almost exploded when I opened it and I spillt about 1/3 of the beer. Pours a cloudy brown with a medium off-white head and a fruity, malty aroma. The taste is really malty with notes of rye-bread, wood, berry and some caramel somewhere. It is a nice beer, not the best, but it is good
