Apr 9, 2003 Best Till - Oct 2003 (bought on sale at the LCBO, so it's been collecting dust in the store since Christmas) Nice aroma, sour in the nose with a bite of alcohol. But not over powering. Smooth and sour in taste, very very slight alcohol taste but the sour malt taste makes up for that. Very enjoyable. I'll have to get a fresher one in December.

Aug 19, 2005 08.19.05 330ml swingtop. Cloudy light auburn with small head of lasting tan foam. Aroma is salt and pepper malts, dried flowers, cinnamon, and dried pit fruits. Absolutely stunning aroma, beautiful. Flavor is mildy sweet, doughy and salty soft pretzel, lingering gorp. Spiciness from hops and yeast lingers long after the swallow, hints of sour. Love it.

Oct 13, 2008 Snappin-fresh B33cl bottle enjoyed at Castros in the Beach. WOW! Dense body and translucent dark color. Grape aroma with hints of yeast. Tastes of toffee malts and herbal honey and a bit of dark dry apricot, and nice tingle of hops. I thought it was Belgian in character. Exceptional.

Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep ruby red/brown, with a tight beige head. Nose is sweet malts, light grapes, a bit roasted. Taste is beautiful- medium sweet, caramel malt, and bitter hops at the end. Balanced.Very pleasing, just with enough spice to keep you involved.

Mar 13, 2004 I'm not really familiar with Vienna style lagers, and so this was a treat. Beautiful creamy foam sits atop a hazy coppery chestnut body. Malty and fruity, but subtly so, with a lingering fresh palate and a touch of bitter at the very end. A little thin in the body but really, very nice.

Dec 20, 2003 Hazy brown wih red tint, nice foamy head. Has a roasted malt aroma, hint of hops. Very malty body, at times very sweet (caramel) and at others dark and toasted, nutty. Very drinkable and thoroughly enjoyable.
