But not over powering. Smooth and sour in taste, very very slight alcohol taste but the sour malt taste makes up for that. Very enjoyable. I'll have to get a fresher one in December. biermonk (259), San Francisco, California, USA

Aroma is salt and pepper malts, dried flowers, cinnamon, and dried pit fruits. Absolutely stunning aroma, beautiful. Flavor is mildy sweet, doughy and salty soft pretzel, lingering gorp. Spiciness from hops and yeast lingers long after the swallow, hints of sour. Love it. DerWeg (780), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Dense body and translucent dark color. Grape aroma with hints of yeast. Tastes of toffee malts and herbal honey and a bit of dark dry apricot, and nice tingle of hops. I thought it was Belgian in character. Exceptional. gmonroe10 (172), Netherlands

Nose is sweet malts, light grapes, a bit roasted. Taste is beautiful- medium sweet, caramel malt, and bitter hops at the end. Balanced.Very pleasing, just with enough spice to keep you involved. beerhugger (541), Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

Beautiful creamy foam sits atop a hazy coppery chestnut body. Malty and fruity, but subtly so, with a lingering fresh palate and a touch of bitter at the very end. A little thin in the body but really, very nice. DrGonzo (625), Somerville, Massachusetts, USA
