Citric, tart, fruity and somewhat sour aroma - odd, but complex and balanced. The flavor starts out sweet & sour, then finishes very malty with caramel sweetness and a long lingering, tart sourness. Good balance. Mouthfeel was solid, could use a bit more carbonation though. You don’t see much Vienna Sours around here and this one is surprisingly good. Translucent orange-brown with a small, off-beige head. Aroma is sweet-spicy-fruity. Flavour is the same; dark fruit, syrup-sweet malt, brown spice. Nice hoppy finish. Damn, I like this style. reakt (937), Greater London, England

Nose of cherry cordial and cedar shavings. Taste of orange, boiled sweets, cherry and caramel. Spicy to sweet to spicy in that span of 5 seconds. Long oak finish. Syrupy texture. Really very good. I’ve had it from the bottle and liked it very much as well. cyrenaica (440), Milton, Ontario, Canada

I tried this beer on May 29, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a dark transparent brown colour with a thin white head. The aroma was heavy on the sweet malt and grain. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was surprisingly good. Sweet grainy malt, with a nice smooth finish. Very enjoyable. Borresteijn (1415), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Poured a hearty rusty amber body and a full and creamy head. The aroma and flavor were rather sweet and malty. Notes of caramel, and toffee malt, mildly toasty, somewhat bready, and evenly hopped... which was apparent in a hint of lemon zest in the finish. Nothing oh so complex… but a nice all-around drink.
