Decants an unfiltered murky honey gold with a massive rocky head that settles to a 2 finger lacing cap that lasts the drink.
Nice nose: caramel, fruits spices and some woody earthiness.
Bight fruity spicy character with a wonderful earthiness..dries up in the finish. Not overly complex but like a mellow fruity version of Orval.
A welcome winter warmer.

Aroma of caramel and molasses bad not too strong. Hazy, redish brown color, beige head, good lace. Starts of bitter but gets sweeter, light spices, herbal, caramel, apple. Medium body and light sticky. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 25, 2005 (Siphon bottle 200 cl) Clear, very dark amber with a tall, creamy, off-white head. Malty, roasted aroma. Body is full with notes of roasted malt and a caramelish sweetness. Almost no bitterness. But apart from the missing hops this really appears more of a Bock than an Ale. 241205
