Aug 11, 2007 I have had this "winter" ale on a few occasions in the past couple of years and each year the flavour is a little different. Its hoppy and pleasant to the palate. The aroma has hints of fruit, the finish is nice and balanced.

Dec 14, 2005 Amber colour with a weak head. Light sweet aroma of malt and caramel. Very smooth flavour of sweetness with notes of candy and spice, ends up very nice.

Dec 4, 2005 Botted: Amber coloured. Clear. Beige head. Sweet medicinlike aroma. Is quite vague. Sweet and malty flavour. Light caramel notes and fruit. Alcohol is notable. Is meidium bodied. Dry light herbal end.

Dec 4, 2005 A hazy red beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with lots of berries, besides hints of honey. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel and honey beside hints of ascorbic acid, leading to a dry slightly woody end.
