Aroma and taste are moderately sweet and malty -- nutty, toasted, caramel/toffee. Bitterness is minimal, but is there at the finish for balance. Medium body. Nice brown ale. Nice thick palate, great lacing. Taste was smooth and nutty sweet with just the right balance of hops for a clean dry finish. Now this is a good beer to drink in a church!! xmandax (130), Astoria, New York, USA
