Commercial Description:
This American style brown ale is a great example that hops are not the only wonderful flavor in beer. Bring in the malt. Our Brown Ale has roasted overtones and a caramel rich body. But don’t assume this beer doesn’t contain any hops. Although not a dominant flavor, the hops very carefully round out this beer. Also, notice the color, our Bell Tower Brown Ale has a beautiful dark ruby hue which is perfect for this style.

Clear dark brown body with small head. Aroma and taste are moderately sweet and malty -- nutty, toasted, caramel/toffee. Bitterness is minimal, but is there at the finish for balance. Medium body. Nice brown ale.

Crystal clear, dark caramel ale with a small, quickly diminishing head. No lacing. Funky aroma is a mix of rootbeer, ginger ale, cola and chocolate. The flavor pretty much matches the aroma. Kind of funky, but not totally unpleasant. Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and pillow-soft carbonation. Lengthy, lightly pungent, chocolatey finish.

This was my favorite of the brews here. Smooth, malty, chocolately...all very well done.

Dull brown rootbeer clear color, no head. Light malt character with some tanginess, not a lot of hops. Pretty watery and unremarkable, though not the worst brown ale I’ve had.

This was probably our favorite this Church visit. Nice thick palate, great lacing. Taste was smooth and nutty sweet with just the right balance of hops for a clean dry finish. Now this is a good beer to drink in a church!!

Pours with a dark brown body topped by a medium thick head with good lace left on the glass. Sweet nutty malt aroma with a very slight hoppiness. Sweet and slightly fruity malt flavor with a good maltiness and hints of hops. Medium bodied and smooth with a touch of dryness.

On straight tap: Hazy dark brown. Light body and flavor, but a good nuttiness. There’s a slight citrus-rind bitterness in the finish. Cask conditioned: MUCH better. The chocolate malt comes out and it improves the body 100 fold. This beer was meant to be served warm.
