Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a bit of sediment floating around under a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of fruit - especially peaches on a malty back ground. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of spices - primarily cloves, as well as medium notes of malt, alcohol, peaches, and perfume, leading to a dry alcoholic and spicy finish.

#7 Bottle. [Papsoe grand American tasting] Small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Somewhat clear nutty color. Aroma of yeast, dried fruit, raisins, nutty, almond, mild alcohol, toasted malt, and dusty grainy like feel as well with a hint of spice. Quart like style beer. (This is a blind tasting). Full bodied with an average carbonation and light alcoholic texture. Heavy sweet flavor, with a hint of bitterness. Lingering warming dried fruity and light nutty finish. 8 / 3 / 8 / 4 / 16 = 3.9

Courtesy hopscotch. Pours a cloudy, dark cherrywood color with a small, foamy, beige colored head. Scant line lacing marks the glass. The nose gives notes of moderately dark candy sugar and cherry, with compliments of fig and caramel. Bready yeast imparts a Belgian-esque feel. Flavors continue the pursuit, sugary candy and cherry playing the biggest roles, with other dark fruits and bready yeast rounding things out. A little too sweet for me, though not as artificial feeling as I anticipated. Big bodied, lightly syrupy, and overly alcoholic, the palate doesn’t do much to help this brew’s cause. Decent, but not something I’d reach for often.

Bottle from the Otown throwdown. I think hopscotch brought this. Deep reddish color with a fullfy head. Aroma is malt, cherries, honey, syrup, suga and caramel. Flavor is very malty with cherries and caramel. Pretty good, but not as good as I exptected.
