Just cherry, malty backbone, candi sugar, brown sugar, some chocolate, and light caramel. Dark malts, crystal, floral hops, belgian spices. Cherry is dark but not sweet or tart. Cherry is balanced with the malts very good. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA

Lovely aroma with sweet cinnamon, cherry & banana-esque esters. Thick, rich & sweet with Belgian yeasts & sugars alongside a sweet-tart fruitiness. Quite a tasty sipper.

Pours a somewhat cloudy amberish copper with an off white thin but persistent head. Smells of tarte cherries, some bread, spice and nuts. Tastes of chocolate, molasses, caramell, toffee, some sweet malt. Some metallic hints emerge as the beer wrams. Alcohol is well masked on this one. Mouthfeel is thick with hints of cherries on the finish. michael-pollack (2749), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2007 Big & strong fruity beer, very enjoyable, dark amber in color, light off-white head, lots of cherries in the nose, flavors were very sweet with a lot of cherries there as well, big notes of alcohol in the flavors & finish, other notes of sugar & yeast, left that warming effect with the alcohol in the finish, a decent beer to sip on & enjoy for a while
