Aroma throws a nice crisp classic Weizen yeast aroma. Banana-heavy. Flavor is right in line, with a wonderful combination of freshly slice fall MacIntosh apple, banana puree, and caramelized pear. Very nuanced, juicy and bright. Great flavor profile from the yeast, tinged in a Bananas Foster way with brown sugar and rum. Balanced and crisp. Excellent! tagz (334), USA

What is a little stale, but it is okay and the yeasty esters give it a nice character, similar to a good NG wheat. Pretty good. scottallan (10), USA

Poured a nice dark amber with a light head that dissipated quickly. Smooth flavor with just enough dark malt. Clean finish. Definitely would order again. Ambrose (141), East Aurora, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 6, 2007 a little sweet. The bannana was apparent. It seemed like it was trying to hide it though. Like this beer was embarassed of tasting like bannana. Many of these tuff guy beers that have a little fruity flavor need to come out of the closet me thinks. being fruity is nothing to be ashamed of. zebracakes (1215), Washington DC, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2009 A flavorful and aromatic dunkelweizen. Aroma was near perfect. Strong banana and clove with yeast and little else interfereing. Pour was a nice cloudy dark brown with a one finger near tan head. Taste was strong and wheaty. Heavy on the banana and clove with just touches of roasted malt and a hint of caramel after it warmed. Not as much carbonation as I would like in a dunkelweizen, but most of CBW beers lack that. All in all, solid but middle of the road. rudolf (1775), Buffalo, New York, USA
