Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Feb 17, 2001 Malt accent; lightly buttery on the palate; mild yeast finish. argo0 (6232), Washington DC, USA May 27, 2003 (draft -- called 2000 Tripel on the board): Cloudy golden with small off-white head. Aroma is strong citrus (orange), some spice (coriander). Taste is orange and spice (cardemom & coriander). Slight astringence in the orange/alcohol finish. Medium body. hopdog (4658), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 12, 2005 22oz bottle. Poured a light to medium golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of yeast, fruits and light spices. Tasted fruity sweet (sweet apples), lightly spiced, and lemons. This was not a bad beer, just struck me as another US attempt at a Tripel that didn’t quite make it. DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA May 22, 2007 Bottle from Capone’s. Medium gold pour with a lot of carbonation trails and about 1-finger whitish head. The aroma had fruity pear and apple notes along with candi sugary malt, slight funky hints. The taste was fruity, with the pear, apple, and apricotty flavors, plus some candi sugary malt, slight mid-palate funky yeasty notes, and some finishing hops. Medium palate heft. Not bad. bu11zeye (3782), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 10, 2007 (750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy golden body with a creamy white head. Aroma of mustiness, coriander, apple, and orange peel.
