gabbama (102), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 28, 2008 Aroma is mostly hops and a little fruit. Flavor is malt and hops. Fairly typical pale ale, nothing special, but definitely worth drinking.
matt7215 (542), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Aug 1, 2008 12 oz bottle from a trade with Linus_Stick. pours copper with a tan head. aromas and english malts and some hops. the flavour is very malt with more caramel then in the aromas. hops bitter out the finish. pretty standard pale ale but enjoyable on a friday afternoon after wrapping up the work week. dmtroyer (333), Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA Jul 26, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Pours fairly clear amber/orange with a white head. Aroma is slightly floral with some sweet grapefruit and orange. Finishes semi-sweet, a bit soft on the carbonation. An okay beer, I’ve had EPAs I’ve enjoyed greatly and this isn’t it. shintriad (663), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 11, 2008 Minty, somewhat hoppy scent. Slightly cloudy light amber. Buttery toffee malts and refreshing floral bitterness. More traditional than you’d expect! Beerlando (1238), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 6, 2008 Pours a clear, dark, burnt-orange amber color. A foamy, cream colored head settles quickly to a wispy film with a thin edge. Sticky spots and random lines of lace mark the glass. The aroma is based primarily on toasty, bready, grainy malts, with a hint of glazed biscuit for sweetness and some lightly floral hop notes lending bitterness. The flavor follows suit, very grainy and neutral in the background, with spicy floral hops and a sweet sugar glaze. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated, the finish is somewhat astringent and overly abrasive. Some lemony notes com through in the end. Overall, decent for the style, but that’s really not saying much in my experience. Tmoney99 (3503), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 3, 2008 Bottle from the Brew Works. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectation where met.
