| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Draught. At C’Est What Spring Fest. Black, opaque pour, decent lasting creamy tan head - at last a 4/5!! Aroma of licorice, mint, coffee, toffee and something slightly burnt - I can accept "toast" from garthicus. The flavour follows, slightly acidic, strongly roasty, with a bit of table cream in with the coffee and licorice. Light-bodied for a stout, but redeemed by a pleasing frothiness, mildly acidic and carbonated, finishes like a mild, very, very drinkable, no lingering acidity - truly sessionable. Well done!
