| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2003 (Draught) Served ICE cold at the Lounge in Picton, Ontario. Pours a nice almond head with an opaque black body. Near odorless at this temperature; slight mellow malt. Flavours of smooth, fair sweetness with slight roast malt. Clean finish. Surprisingly light. Very enjoyable! Silphium (2139), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 1, 2006 Deep cranberry juice-red body, thin buff head. Toasty aroma, earthy peat, and smoke, but the latter is not overpowering. The body, though, is replete with smokehouse flavors, blending with caramels, toast, and dark fruits with a tart kick and finish. Reasonably tasty, but I get the feeling that behind the smoke lurks a rather thin, ordinary beer. Thanks Paul (blankboy) for the bottle! Sanchex (223), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 12, 2005 Pours with off white head. Very dark and opaque but tilted to the light it has a deep ruby color. Initial bitterness gives way to sweet malt with hint of smoke. Cheers! 11026 (1779), Alabama, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 8, 2005 Bottle courtesy of DougShoemaker. Chestnut brown color. Off-white to tan head, some lacing. Slight smoke aroma with malt in aroma. Medium bodied. Decent malt backbone with noticeable smoke flavor. The smoke lingers in the finish. Decent, probably better served with cooked flesh than served alone. pintbypint (1013), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Flavour matched aroma. restained smokiness, mineral notes. The beer hides the alcohol well. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 28, 2005 Updated: Jan 9, 2006Draught At Smokeless Joe (previously at C’Est What, BeerBistro, and Volo). Dark - but not dark enough. Nice smoke aroma and flavour - but not enough. First time I had it was shortly after it came out and it was more potent, thicker, smokier. The current incarnation (I’ve had it in the bottle, it’s even weaker) needs more body. This is the sort of beer that should pour in clumps! Still very drinkable, though, like every Church Key beer I’ve ever tried.
