punkrkr27 (608), Berkley, Michigan, USA Nov 3, 2009 Exceptionally pale yellow pour with no head. Honestly, Bud Light has more color than this. The aroma is apple cider vinegar. It’s sour, like apple juice gone bad. The flavor isn’t much better but adds a sort of dusty, musty like quality. The body is quite a let down too. Very dry, acidic, and thin but at least it’s not over carbonated. This barely passes for drinkable. Slipstream (734), USA Oct 12, 2009 Not a good weekend for beer tasting - a few mediocre marzens, a couple of dull ciders. This stuff was the worst. I used to like it, but they appear to have changed their recipe - perhaps put in some cost cutting measures like replacing apples with apple flavor. Nice label. Very pale pour. Bland aroma. This is very much lacking in spark and taste. It only improved when I mixed it with some beer. Rciesla (3510), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Oct 7, 2009 Bottle. A pale golden body with a fizzy white head and a shallow stream of carbonation. Sweet cider y cut up apple slices light apple cider body with some mildly tart apple skins and darker fruit body. My only complaint is this sulfuric finish that seems to stink slightly on the roof of my mouth. canary dog (441), Rutland, Vermont, USA Oct 6, 2009 Very fizzy and very dry. Almost like champagne. It goes down easy enough, but I prefer the softer, sweeter, and mushier JK Scrumpy cider. Harsebrau (164), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Oct 3, 2009 Crystal clear, pale metalic pour with a faint white trace of a head. Minimal apple aroma. Tart, crisp apple flavor. Sour finish. Not a bad cider. skoisirius (570), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 21, 2009 We sell a lot of this at work, so I had to try one. Pretty much the same thing I’ve grown to expect from most ciders. Sweet and granny smith appley up front, with touches of spice and tartness with fizzes towards the back. Lightly watery. Still looking for that cider that’s going to blow me away! Recommendations anyone? dkachur (2318), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Sep 19, 2009 12 ounce bottle. Pours a very very clear and very pale yellow color with a thin head. Fair head retention ad lacing. Ah... this is one of those "ciders" with shit thrown in. Good thing it was free. Drain pour coming. Faint grainy green apple aroma. Taste is grainy tart green apple. Thin bodied. Not much going on here, MicroGrog (36), New York, USA Aug 13, 2009 $1.50 tick from New Beer. Green stubby bottle. Pint glass pour. Same guys that make Woodchuck. Oh crap.
Ingredients: ...less then one percent of: malic acid, NATURAL APPLE FLAVOR(huh?), sorbate and sulfites(yay! :) to preserve flavor. 5%ABV.
Faint, almost colorless, clear, generic cream soda color. Lasting, scummy white paste head.
Smells exactly like my last pour of Woodchuck, which is nothing more then Y?-grade apples, compost, sulfur & yeast.
Taste isn’t terrible. Just not appetizing & unbashfully artificial. Soft carbonation, confectioners sugar, severely watered-down apple sauce, old beer residue, dusty preservatives, & a little tin. Half sour, thin, flat Canada Dry finish.
