The color is warm golden and the head is small. The aroma has notes of sweet apples and is very full and alluring. The flavour has sweetness and notes of sweet apples with a light, dry bitterness, hints of wood, honey and the finish is slightly spicy. It is incredibly smooth and pleasant, and I find it hard to describe it – but nice it is, that is for sure... larsga (2959), Oslo, Norway

Hazy pale amber body with carbonation. Sugary wooden metallic apple aroma with earthy notes. Dry-sweet wooden alcoholic apple taste with earthy metallic notes. Intensely dry aftertaste of winter apple. Nice, but a bit intense, perhaps. (0.75l bottle, wine monopoly, Oslo.) darkguardian (506), Florida, USA

Big apple nose, real fresh apples. A light bit of funk and a some brown sugar and cinnamon. Very sweet with a lively but not prickly carbonation. Calvados lends a heavy woody vanilla note at the backend. One of the best ciders I’ve had. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Smelled of apple, subdued cinnamon, and a hint of funky cheese. Sweet on the tongue and appropriately effervescent. I tasted apple, obviously, but didn’t get much in the way of calvados/barrel other than the faintest hint of vanilla. Nice cider. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA

Aroma is oak and funk. Flavor isn’t nearly as funky, and the oak goes away. Lots of apple and pear in the flavor, just a touch of honey as well. Snappy carbonation on this one in the finish. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA

Great aroma of sweet and tart crisp apples, pear, woodiness, and honey. Great sweet fresh tasting apples with the calvados emerging nicely on the finish giving it a depth to the flavor unlike most Ciders that I’ve had. Honey, light floral notes, a little bit of spiciness and wood. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with nice soft carbonation. Excellent. KnN (723), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2008 Pours a cloudy dishwater sort of color with little head. Aroma is a little sweet with some good cellared apple smell in there.
Flavor is very sweet with a bit of a strange aftertaste. Like a way to overripe red delicious or something. Maybe this one is to sweet for me, but overall not very tasty for a high end cider. lassem (307), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2008 Bottle 75 cl. A bright clear yellow and bubblish appearance. The nose is fresh and fruity (apples) . Perfect on a base of fois gras de Gascogne. The flavour is like smooth dessert-wines like a good suternes and you sense the oak. The palate is sparkling and rich carbonated.
