CapFlu (3292), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Jun 9, 2004 Updated: Jun 10, 2004 (Bottle) Mondial de la Bière 2004. An apple mistelle digestif. It pours an amber colour with fantastic viscosity. There is definitely an excellent look to this cider-borg! Fresh kitchen-smashed apple sauce, mashed and lightly spiced. An absolutely gorgeous cider. A big cheer to Ciderie Léo Boutin for providing me with my Best-in-Show at Le Mondial - certainly, its not a beer, but it was by far the best from both beer and cider categories. Lovers of Jadwiga mead will die for this offering. Bravo!
TheCheeseMan (509), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA Jun 15, 2008 Radiomgb hooks up a cider junky yet again. Deep golden color, gobs of glycerin cling perilously to the glass, swirling only further the veiling. Aromas of fresh red apples waft effortlessly out of the glass, some spice notes seem to come along as well. The flavor is sweet and warming and the palate is almost chewy. Nice stuff... Beerlando (1269), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 8, 2008 Courtesy TheCheeseMan. A clear, still, dark golden body leaves thick, syrupy legs behind when swirled. The aroma shows freshly baked red apples with vanilla, and a touch of orchard must that is really inviting. The flavor is really nice, displaying a balance between sweet and tangy red and green apples, with a touch velvety creaminess to tie everything together. The body is thick and viscous, coating the mouth entirely and finishing with just a hint of alcoholic heat. Drinks much easier than the 16% ABV would indicate. Another solid Canadian cider. Storm (2677), Amager, Denmark Oct 28, 2007 Bottle. Great aroma of apple and sweet alcohol. Golden colour with no head or carbonation. Also great flavour of apple and sweetness, ends up with a warm feeling from the alcohol, very nice endeed. Thomas_E (4954), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 18, 2007 Amber colour with a small white head. Apple fruity aroma. Light honey sweet flavor with a balanced apple fruityness. yespr (6359), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 6, 2007 375 mL bottle, thanks to Bierkönig. Pours orange, clear, with a white head. Aroma is clean apple, hints of almonds. Fullbodied. Flavour is rather sweet, again a clean concentrated apple flavour. Has a slight warming alcohol finish despite being served so nicely cold. Very nice.
