Strong aroma hints heavily on a woody alcohol I can’t quite pinpoint. Sweet and hot with mellow apples and honey notes. Oaky palateis again rather alcoholic, too much for what else it offers. Medium body doesn’t get too sticky. Sweet red apples hint, but not too elegant in its leathery woodiness and alcohol. A bit too much... hopscotch (5485), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Almost colorless with a millipede’s worth of terrific legs. Sweet, fresh apples, vanilla and wood meld to paint the aroma. Light-bodied and just a hint oily with no carbonation. Stale, acidic, boozy and bitter. Finishes dry. Thanks go out to TheCheeseMan for sharing the bottle! MartinT (5055), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 22, 2005 Tart and spicy cedar-like aroma is very dry and lightly fruity. Sweetness emerges as it warms along with a subtle farminess. Very clear medium golden colour with nice legs on the glass. Nicely balanced between sweet and tart flavours with a light apple character. Medium body, still and somewhat astringent and puckering in the dry finish. Very enjoyable. Bottle (Marché des Saveurs - Dec. 2004). CapFlu (3483), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 3, 2005 (750ml bottle) Thanks for sharing DumDum! Non-carbonated with a VERY clear lightly yellowed body. The nose is of cooked, acidic apples. Slight flavfour with bitter backing. Oak and fruity finish the palate prior to a watery alcohol diminishes the taste to nothingness. daknole (2941), Plantation, Florida, USA

Interesting flavor of baked apples and mild funk. Nice flavor of apples with lingering sweetness and mild funk, it also has a leathery character. Pretty good cider. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 26, 2008 Courtesy TheCheeseMan. Pours a crystal clear, light straw color. A tiny, bubbly edge forms from a vigorous pour, with no other signs of carbonation chowing. Thin, runny legs coat the sides of the glass when swirled. Delicate aromas of fresh, crisp green apples and pears show alongside vanilla laden oak. Flavors follow suit, primarily showing that classic marriage between apple and oak. Medium bodied and slick, with zero carbonation. I was surprised to learn that this one weighed in at 12%, because I didn’t get an heat at all. Dangerously drinkable, but a bit underwhelming overall.
