Very appealing aroma of barnyard, leather and apples with lingering dryness. Excellent flavor of barnyard and apples, it’s very dry also and I like that a lot. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Excellent, even better than the regular Pédoncule because of the dryness. KnN (746), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA

Flavor is more of the same. A great sharp tang followed by a near perfect apple kick. Nothing really at fault with this one and a great example of this particular style of cider. Wonderful stuff. Rastacouere (5561), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Very woody nose, old crates and pencil shavings dryness. Fresh bready palate, growing on you after each sip, hayish, rocky. Sparkling palate without any astringence, comfortable. One of my favorite Jodoins. willblake (2186), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Light and soft. Mild finish with lasting barnyard. Lovely take on a sweet French style. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2005 750 ml bottle shared with Capflu, Goldorak, beerbuzzmontreal, Boutip and DumDum at the Ciderwinder tasting in Ottawa. Fizzy exploding gushing bottle yields a light, clear bubbly gold liquid...funky lemon-sour apple barnyard nose is fascinating...heavy carbonation in the body, quite dry overall...bitter iron at the finish, light and tingly apple peel character rather than sweet juice. A nice change from all the massively sweet thick ciders consumed that evening... BückDich (4856), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 24, 2005 Bottle transported from the brewery to my house 2,700 miles away Clear yellow with lots of fizzy champagne like bubbles (small), quickly dissipating head, just like it should. The nose is dry but dusty and clean with a like oaky whisp of apples. The flavor is zesty and fizzy, just right, enough funkiness to carry you through the night. Lots of old wood tastes. Excellent. Quite dry with a slight feel of rotten apples. Overall, this is an above average sparkling dry cider. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Clear sparkly golden colour. Bitter appleskins, citrus and woody notes in the very dry, tart flavour. Apple flavour lingers forever on the tongue. Light, dry and strongly effervescent body. Bottle. Thanks, Goldorak!
