| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 12, 2008 Bottle… Pours dark with a small, fluffy, off-white head. The aroma is a swirl of dark and medium roast malts - coffee, chocolate and caramel – with lots of campfire and peat smoke. Full-bodied and oily with restrained carbonation. Sweet, over-the-top-smoky flavor and finish. Best of two worlds for me – rauchbier and Scotch ale. Fantastic.
