Sep 26, 2009 rich roasty malt aromas with lots of caramel, some smoke,and a touch of chocolate. The flavor is very very malty. there is a nice sweet breadiness, with touches of tobacco, and cocoa. A nice scotch ale.

Sep 25, 2009 Served from a 750mL bottle acquired via trade with dchmela. Appearance is a rich brown hue. The aromas and the flavors are rich with malts, sweet toffee, brown sugar, maple syrup, coffee, and a rich oak. Mouth is really smooth.

Sep 25, 2009 Bottle. Special thanks to danielecurtis81 for sharing on his wedding week. Pours deep brown/bronze with a fading off-white head. Nose is sweet brown malt and spices with some yeast and is overall a little faint. Taste is a pleasant surprise with rich brown malt, excellent maple syrup, brown sugar and sweet & smooth. Very, very good.

Sep 25, 2009 Huge thanks to ericandersnavy. Not a strong aroma, but very pleasing. Good malts, coffee, cocoa, biscuit. Aftertaste is warm and malty. Great stuff.

Sep 24, 2009 Sampled from 750 ml bottle, acquired via trade with dchmela. Pours a semi-clear dark caramel brown colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of caramel malt, some peach, roasted nuts, apple and a touch of floral hops. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of smoked caramel malt, some apple, and just barely a hint of peat. Finish is semi-dry with some caramel malt and floral hop aftertaste that quickly disappears. Average Scotch Ale with a well hidden alcohol presence.

Sep 22, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown, little carbonation and a good caramelly/sweet aroma. Flavor was sweet malts, slightly smoky and dry on the finish.

Sep 21, 2009 Shared by Shyam - thank you sir. A perfectly average Scotch ale. Nose is slight peat, very thickly caramel malt, Flavor is the same - brown apple, brown sugar, less malt. I just described a competent, standard Scotch ale. That’s what this is.
