hard to review this one since i just looked like meg ryan in when harry met sally. i just sat behind the bar moaning and shit. some guy across the bar was like "i’ll have what he’s having."
believe it.

Aroma is full of bourbon, oak, fruit, caramel, fruit and some nuts. Flavor is much stronger than the nose. Tons of caramel, bourbon, wood, fruit, and again Wayne and Joey produce a great beer. WOW. markwise (1200), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jul 2, 2009 Rating #900- Pours dark brown/black with a tan head. Nose is bourbon, chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, barrel, and nuts. Definitely a beer with nuts. Flavor is liquid awesome. I agree with the previous rater- this one will be AWESOME for a long time to come- it will be hard to share. Flavor is nuts, chocolate, bourbon, booze, caramel, barrel, vanilla, and dark fruit. Finishes smooth as hell and extremely enjoyable. The only pain this beer brings is when it’s gone. Bring-the-Pain Wayne hits another one out of the park. The hardest part will be topping this beer with future releases. darkguardian (506), Florida, USA

Pours a dark brown with a thick small foamy head with great staying power. Huge bourbony nose with grainy malt, toasted almonds, rich chocolate and some subtle fruitiness. The flavor explodes. One of the smoothest beers I’ve had. So easy drinking. Rich toasted malts dominated by hazelnut chocolate notes. About halfway through the bourbon really comes out with fruity caramel woody notes. Rich and decadent. Another amazing creation from Joey and Wayne. kiefdog (1645), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jun 27, 2009 Waxed and capped bottle from the CCB release party (#135/221). Pours a muddy dark brown to black color with one finger tan head that settles slowly and laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of chocolate, vanilla, cherries, oak, toffee, bourbon, hints of brown sugar, molasses, and nuts. Amazing nose. Not quite as good as Capricho Batch 2, but I could smell this all day. Flavor is as good as the nose -- loads of chocolate, cherries, vanilla, oak, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, some hints of cocoa and nuts. Generally medium body with a pleasing malty and bourbon finish. Just amazing. TampaBrew (901), Tampa, Florida, USA

Flavor is booze!, bourbon, oak, some toffee, nuttiness, brown sugar and some cocoa. Finishes smooth with a slight bourbony alcoholic burn. So damn nice! gunhaver (1044), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 20, 2009 Bottle #57. Pours brownish red with big head and thick white lacing. Nose is strong with bourbon, caramel, strong rich brown sugar and some woody notes. Flavor is great: bourbon, wood, caramel, vanilla, rich cocoa, dark malts, slight roast. Really surprised at how well the bourbon blended with the Bolita. A very good beer. Very easy to drink. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Bottle (#195)... This beer rocks!... Pours murky and dark brown with a mid-sized, wispy, khaki head that diminishes to a single-bubble layer of a tight, white crown. Fantastic retention. The aroma is a rich, robust swirl of vanilla, sourmash, coconut and milk chocolate. Full-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and modest carbonation. The flavor is very much that of an “old ale” – vanilla, caramel and mild sourmash – rich, luxurious and malty. Worth every penny spent. Absolute malt and sourmash bomb. In a year, it will be even better, but why wait? Well done, boys, well done!
