Bottle 137 of 221 Poured after the non Bourbon Barrel aged version. Pours out a dark brown topped with a small sand head. Aroma was of bourbon a little over powering but hey. Also some oak and vanilla. Taste was of sweet chocolate, vanilla, oak, and plenty of rick roast malts.

Dec 20, 2009 Bottle. Waited a while to open this one. Poured a dark, hazy, reddish brown with a creamy tan head. Nose still has quite a bit of bourbon also some vanilla, raisin, and tobacco. Smooth mouth feel with a full body. The bourbon has definitely mellowed since the release. Still lots of Bourbon, vanilla, sweet roasted malt, oak, and chocolate. Finishes sweet with a good amount of warming alcohol.

Dec 10, 2009 750ml bottle @Pauls Gathering Thanks Paul-pours a retaining light brown head and dark brown color. Aroma is bourbon, sharp/acidic/earthy hops, dark fruit. Taste is bourbon, medium malt-peat, sharp/acidic/earthy hops, dark fruit. Hot but good sipping beer.

Taste is sweet, smoky, cocoa, medicinal gauze, bourbon, and coconut.
Finish is sweet and oaky.
Yum.
Would love another bottle so I can get more notes on this baby.

Unclear dark red brown color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, wood - vanilla, alcohol - bourbon. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20091123]
