(Growler thanks to mar) Pours a medium brown with orange edges and little to no head. Nose is predominantly espresso and beef jerky. Taste is dry, espresso, cocoa and meaty. Slightly watery but the carbonation is good.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dark (but not too dark, mind you) brown body with a scant, off-white head. Smell: Beyond the espresso infusion, the aroma is predominately malty with notes of chocolate powder, caramel, and even some oven-toasted almonds. Taste: Soft brown maltiness with flourishes of nuttiness, cocoa, and semi-sweet caramel. Ample roasty espresso flavor, too. Earthy, roasty bitterness. Finishes earthy and semi-dry with a lingering hint of caramel and coffee. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-low carbonation. Drinkability: The body seems just a hair thin to me, but the flavor is definitely there, which, for me, is the important part. Overall, an enjoyable brown ale.

Growler from CCB. Pours a dark chestnut brown color topped by a small, foamy khaki colored head that leaves nice rings of lace around the glass. The aroma is full on roasted espresso that smells really fresh. Some notes of dark chocolate and vanilla come through as well. The flavor follows with the fresh roasted espresso up front, but balanced out by dark cocoa and toasted nuts. The vanilla comes through as well and smooths out all the roasty flavors from the espresso. Medium bodied and a silky smooth mouthfeel with nice carbonation that just makes this incredibly drinkable. This is just a really tasty brown ale. The espresso really changes the whole complexion. Really good beer, and probably my favorite of the maduro series so far.

Growler share from jcwattsrugger at dmacs UFC-100 Gathering. Pours a deep amber with a nice tight lasting head. Aroma is tons of sweet sugary big roasty espresso- very rich- potent and earthy. Flavor is sweet, molasses, candi sugar added to espresso- ridiculously fresh, and very sharp strong coffee, earth, leather, roast and very nutty. it is overwhelmed by a ton of crazy strong coffee, but it is still really good if you love espresso.

Growler thanks to JohnC. Pours with a small tan head over a hazy amber bronze cast body. Aroma of spicy coffee, roast, dust and dirt. Taste is coffee, spice, dust, and bitterness. Watery mouthfeel, light bubbles.
