Epresso beans, toasted nuts and chocolate really stand out in the aroma. Full-bodied and creamy with mild carbonation. Full-flavored with lots of espresso beans, toasted nuts and chocolate. Sweet, but sufficiently bittered for balance. Crisp, mocha finish. One of the few coffee beers I’ve tried that smells and tastes like actual espresso beans instead of spent coffee grounds. World class brown ale! CaptainCougar (5545), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of sweet toasty dark caramel malt and lots of fresh espresso and a touch of dark chocolate. Starts with good malty fullness and some toasty caramel toffee sweetness alongside lots of roasted coffee beans before a crisp, well-balanced, drier finish. This has an enjoyable coffee character that meshes well with this underlying brown ale. JoeMcPhee (5056), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

The aroma is loaded with espresso over a touch of dry cocoaish malts. Soft and chewy with a light lingering roastiness. A bit of soft maltiness and a lingering roastiness. It’s quite dry but also slightly vegetal. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t really transcend. Coffee beers aren’t always that easy to do, as this attests. Rciesla (3910), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Pours a mahogany tan head, malty light raisins, light roast and some sweeter espresso cream and cafe notes. Nutty with hints of lactose and the fresh sweet bitter coffee beans come together in a phenomenal balance. Love it! egajdzis (3645), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
