Aroma of espresso, chocolate, and a hint of caramel. Taste is loaded with espresso, toasted malt, roast, chocolate, and more espresso. Medium thin mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness from the coffee. Tastes pretty good but what do I know, I’m a homer.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Draft, This beer is AWESOME! Reminds me of coffee bender, which is one of my favorites. Pours a mahogany tan head, malty light raisins, light roast and some sweeter espresso cream and cafe notes. Nutty with hints of lactose and the fresh sweet bitter coffee beans come together in a phenomenal balance. Love it! zdk (245), New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Tap @ RnH, though their label says "Maduro Expresso." Must be a typo. Anyway, this beer is amazing. I took whiff and immediately pictured a used coffee filter. It literally smells like wet coffee grinds. Not bad. Pours brown with red highlights. Thin off-white head with strong lacing. Taste is coffee, nuts, vanilla. Mouthfeel is light and smooth, finishes with some bitter. Reminds me of one of the iced coffee drinks from starbucks, only better because it’s beer. Pwn3d (1086), Manhattan, New York, USA

Ultra lifelike espresso taste. Deep nose that smells exactly like a roasted cup of Joe. Reminds me of a southern tier blackwater but lighter body due to the brown ale style. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Browned body with chocolate cream head. Rich, robust espresso bean aromas emanate from the glass. Strong espresso bean body, with grainy and deep roasted barley qualities. Acidic coffee finish. Definitely and in your face coffee brew. drowland (1418), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Nov 25, 2009 The aroma is all coffee on this one - straight up grinds, dark roasty and bitter like Cuban espresso. The flavor is big coffee but with awesome layers of chocolate, malt, and nuttiness down below. This is stellar stuff! JBVatkeens (10), Florida, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 23, 2009 I had this on tap, and they were not messing around when they put the term espresso into the name of this beer. It looks like coffee, smells like coffee, and tastes a lot like coffee. It delivers on every point of its name. hophead75 (1962), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 12, 2009 sampled on tap at the brewery. Great aroma, lots of fresh espresso. Taste is alot of espresso, and smooth - no bitterness at all, caramel/toasted malt, brown sugar, hints of cigar tobacco and some vanilla. Medium bodied, the coffee didn’t cover it up. Really nice. boamr (137), Pennsylvania, USA
