Bottle courtesy of fogdog in the perfect 10v4 trade. Pours a hazy rich tawny orange with a large browned cream head. Huge damp pine, earth, and crisp cedar. The cedar’s quite clear and very interesting, picking up a dry citrus note. Remarkably creamy mouthfeel highlighted with some great bitterness and a nice crisp candied citrus and faint malt note. Spicy wood notes, and a long dry finish with cedar, grapefruit pith, quinine. Really tasty.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 16, 2009 Bottle thanks to an american couple that shared them in the rake. Alround rating: Very piney and very bitter, theres some fruity lychee and grapefruit character that comes through, but its soo heavily bottle conditioned its not as clean as what it perhaps could be. Nice ipa all the same. bleeng (600), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 13, 2009 bottle poured an orange amber in color with a nice thick one finger off white head. aroma has yummy sweet citrus hops, light bitterness, caramel, and a distinct whack of cedar. mouth feel is light and it has plenty of carbonation. flavor does have some caramel malt base, citrus rind, bitterness, pines, and some flowers. finishes nicely dry with a lingering bite. the cedar really makes this distinct, nice soft mellow wood, and the flavor is exactly like the smell of a cigar box. not only tasty but a cool concept. Aroma of grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine, spicy cedar. Taste is hoppy with grapefruit, tropical fruit, a nice piney bitterness. Cedar is strong, which suprised me since the description said that it is more subtle than oak. Alot of woody spicyness, and oily. Body is medium, cedar and hop bitterness lingers.
