750 ml bottle from fishingnet cracked in honor of it’s GABF Gold Medal. Thanks, Ben! Pours a very nice hazy amber, gold and some darker bits mixing in. An offwhite head that is fairly big, dies to a solid head that laces very well down the sides. Aromas are citrusy hops, sweet caramel and pale malts with that bit of spice and further sweetness from the aging. A bit soapy, a touch of vanilla, florals. Initial is smoothed out, still good floral bitterness, pine, and some citrusy lemon and grapefruit. Booziness is pretty well integrated, sweet malts and the cedar is lighter, different. Some solid florals and bitteress sticks to the palate, a touch of spiciness, smoothed out vanilla. Very well integrated, and I like it because it is not syrupy and a sweet cloying mess like most other wood aged IPAs I’ve had. Different, An improvement on the base beer and fulfilling. Pours a hazy light orange amber colored brew with a rocky off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of soft cedar wood, a hint of grapefruit and light vanilla. Taste is mild bitter, some citrus, tangerine and plenty of cedar. Finish is smooth and soft with a lingering tangerine, some floral hop and cedar aftertaste. Outstanding treatment to the regular Jai Alai IPA. I regret not picking up a second bottle. DalzAle (509), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA

Hazy apricot colored pour, very little carbonation and a interesting hoppy floral and somewhat medicinal aroma. Flavor was unique and complex with some grapefruit, definite cedar/wood and finished very dry. Really liked this one. drewbeerme (2305), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Nose is full dark orange hops and the resiny sting of cedar. Pours a dark hazy goldeneye. Flavor is exquisite because of how perfectly the cedar bases and enhances the hops, but mostly just blends perfectly. Nose and flavor could use more tea or fruit but I would still drink this like water. Guerde (710), Welcome, Minnesota, USA

Aroma of cedar, citrus, wet leaf pile, and pepper. Very clean and unique aroma. Taste is a little disappointing, with some light citrus, orange and grapefruit, along with a light caramel sweetness. The finish is wood and hop bitterness combined. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is spot on. The best, and most unique CCB we’ve tried tonight. MatSciGuy (639), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA

Aroma is spicy, peppery, floral - really fantastic and unique. Cedar comes through strongly, High quality bud, floral centennial hops. Flavor can’t quite stand up, though. The floral hops come through the strongest, some peppery cedar, and a hint of alcohol. This is the best CC we’ve had yet. BDR (2167), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

The body has a nice bud / cedar like character. Vastly better than the regular Jai Alai. This was awesome.
