(bottle from Tampabrew). Cloudy brown color. Medium tan head which is mostly diminishing. Malty scotch tape/band aid aroma. Moderate rye and malt flavors. Avg duration. Smooth finish with light bitterness. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Good lacing.

Nice one. Starts with a bright floral hop nose and flavor, backed by smooth chocolately malts, leading to a fairly strong bitter (hop) finish. If anything maybe the IBUs were too high for my liking but on the whole it was a good beer. Medium brown color with a good foamy head.

750ml bottle, with a big thanks to Ibrew2or3 for a couple rounds of this one! Pours a hazy brown with some burgundy highlights and a good sized pillowy tan head that sticks around for a long time. Aroma is toasted rye and oats, light caramel, chocolate, citrus and a little earthy spice. Flavor is more toasty rye and oats, chocolate, caramel and a hint of spicy pine on the finish. Very drinkable and tasty, thanks again Dave, much appreciated!

750, capped. dark brown with bright ruby in the corners. dense, creamy tan head. mild earthy nose, showing grain husk. creamy medium body, showing good carb. rye bread, pine, earth, and roast on the mid palate. long earthy finish.

Bottle thanks to dmac. Pours a dark brown nice off white head. Has the smell of dark fruit, wood, rye, booze and hops. Taste is all over place like the smell with rye, hops and coffee as the dominate flavors. Another CC Im not all that impressed with

Bottle at Cock & Bull Pub. Poured a hazy brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt, nuts and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy earthy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is another standout brew.

Thanks to dchmela for this beastly beer. Pours dark brown with a good long lasting khaki head that just keeps on giving. Aroma is very "ASA" but with a slight twist. The grapefruit, pine, toast, and caramel that I expect are there, but there’s some creamy sweet grain, vanilla, and peppery spice to make things a little more exotic. Tastes very earthy and dry with flavors of dirt, wood, toast, pine, grapefruit (not IPA fresh, but an earthier interpretation), cream, caramel, vanilla, and charred grill smokiness. This is not a sweet beer despite any descriptors that might indicate that. Finishes earthy once more, with a strong roast coffee flavor, dark Russian Rye toast, and earthy hops. Aftertaste sticks around a while. The whole beer lives up to the brewery’s namesake that’s for damn sure! Full bodied, creamy, high carbonation for the strength of the beer, and thus a bit fluffy feeling. Nonetheless its good and satisfying beer.

750 ml bottle via trade with smith4498 - Pours a deep brown color with a large two and a half finger thick tan head that its sweet time to settle. Nice lacing. Aroma is pine and herbal hops, esters, and toasted caramel malt. Flavor is pine hops and sweet caramel malt. Has almost a cola like finish with some hop spiciness. Medium body. A good beer.
