Jul 28, 2009 growler thanks to mar. i think my ratings on this were a little harsh. i remember it being better than my rating reflects. dont ask me why. poured a ruby color with an off white head and some spotted lacing. aroma of caramel, toasted grains, vanilla, and a nutty character. flavor followed the nose very well with the addition of some nice bittering. palate had a pleasant dryness to it.

Jul 19, 2009 Big thanks to Dan for this one. Pours a light brown with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, coffee and vanilla with a lot of roast. Flavor is of roasted malt, caramel and vanilla. Body is a bit thin. Probably not in top form as the growler leaked... still nice.
