Tap. Pours a slightly hazy brown with amber highlights. Vanilla is huge in the nose with roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Taste is chocolate, light roasted malt, coffee, and just a hint of vanilla in the finish. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Very good but if Cigar City combined the Vanilla Maduro and Espresso Maduro it would be a match made in heaven.

Growler courtesy of Wilkes from the brewery. Deep red-brown pour a small light tan head that leaves a ring. Strong vanilla, caramel and nut aroma. Taste is a toasty version of the aroma with the vanilla dominating. Slick and creamy (if it’s possible) medium texture. Haven’t had the regular Maduro yet to compare it to - didn’t knock my sock off, but good.

Hazy brown color. The aroma is quite dusty. Caramel flavor, dry initially, more full bodied later. Correct bitterness, no vanilla. Good Brown Ale, nothing special.

Draft sample at Cigar City. Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt and dark vanilla aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy cocoa and vanilla sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex brew.

Bottle thanks to mar. The look is clear, light brown in color, with a light beige colored head. The smell is coffee, vanilla, sweet, and caramel. The taste is roasty, malts, sweet, and caramel.

(Growler thanks to mar) Pours clear light brown with no head. Smell of vanilla beans, taste is strongly of vanilla extract and alcohol. Some tobacco notes too. Under carbonated, smoky dry finish too.

growler thanks to mar. i think my ratings on this were a little harsh. i remember it being better than my rating reflects. dont ask me why. poured a ruby color with an off white head and some spotted lacing. aroma of caramel, toasted grains, vanilla, and a nutty character. flavor followed the nose very well with the addition of some nice bittering. palate had a pleasant dryness to it.
