Growler thanks to erciandersnavy. Ruby brown pour. Aroma of pretzels, malts, smokiness. Taste was biscuits, bread, and some nuttiness.

Growler thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours with a small, off-white head and a brown body. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, grain and oats. Taste is nutty with coffee and chocolate. Very malty. Light carbonation. Good for a brown ale, but I do not find the style very exciting.

Growler. Deep brown with slight tint of purple. Tan head is scant. Aroma of whole grain dark sourdough with raisins. The sourness is a little strange. Smooth low carbonation. Soft and sweet with a good fruit character. Fairly rich and the oatmeal adds a distinct character to the malt. It grew on me.

My Bottom Line:
Almond skins and bready cereals stroll into a leafy, wooden bitter hop finish in this healthy and drinkable Brown Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the reddish brown.
-Cereals also offer mild caramel notes. This must pair wonderfully with juicy steaks.
-The body is well structured yet may lack wealth (for my tastes in the style).
-Light roast is found within.
-The finish was drier than I expected, which increased drinkability.

Bottle.

Golden-red colour. Thin head. Fairly rich nutty nose - wood, leaf, tobacco and light nuttiness. Toasty character. Quite dry. Mainly nutty with a dried leaf character. Fairly full body for the style.

Growler from Oakes and Sunshine. Another quality CC beer. A nice mahogany pour leaves behind a nice small tan head. Aroma has nuts, raw oats, caramel and some light hops. Flavor has toasted nuts, hops and the finish reminds me of baked oats. The mouthfeel is superb. Great brown ale.

Had on tap at the brewery in Tampa - pours a nice dark brown with a luxurious silky off-white head that leaves generous amounts of lacing. Sweet aroma of toffee and nuts. Flavor has some strong chocolate and toffee accents with a slight back end bite of coffee with underlying nuttiness throughout. Mouthfeel is silky smooth thanks to the oatmeal. Most excellent. Would make an excellent session ale.

Tap. Heavy toasted and nutty aroma for the malt, light herbs for the hops, a faint smell of cheese for the yeast with a background note of toffee. Head is creamy, slightly off-white, with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear reddish brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, and the fairly long finish is lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery and has a lively carbonation. A nice beer, but a funky smell knocked down the aroma score a bit.
