Growler at PPRBSG09. Pours brown with a small head. Aroma of roasted malt and sweet malt. Flavor of light coffee, roasted malt, with a sweet finish. Actually it’s a pretty decent brown ale. 6/4/7/4/14 (3.5/5)

32 oz growler acquired via trade with fishingnet. Thanks, Ben! Pours a nice dark brown with reddish notes, dark and fiery, small offwhite head, largely transparent aside from the darkness. Aromas are chocolatey, nice brown sugar, smokiness, nut, and tobacco mix. Light, yet sufficient. A touch of vanilla and maltiness. Initial is a medium body, pushing brown sugar, earthiness, tobacco, some nut, brown toasty and roast, very light vanilla. Caramel, smokiness (But not BBQ, more wood and a touch of ash, tobacco). Takes on a bit of a stronger flavor further in. This is a very nice brown ale, aided by good solid, assertive flavors. Fairly underbodied. Cheers.

Growler thanks to ericandersnavy. Reddish brown in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is of tobacco, soil, malt. Taste is malty with caramel, maple, chocolate and light roastiness.

Growler at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. courtesy of notalush, thanks Brandon this is my first Cigar City brew. Aroma is very original, its mix of woody fumes, very different, almost like a cigar. This is all mixed up with a sweet pea aroma (in a good way) and this is very earthy and soil/muddy like a Scottish brew. The word rustic comes to mind with this aroma, weirdly smoky. The flavor is much less original but more straight up brown ale, just that sweet pea, earthy, natural, flavor. This does make an interesting brown ale which is hard to come by.

(PPSG09, growler) Small beige head atop clear red-brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, chocolate, some molasses, light peach. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, some chocolate, melon, light nut. Low carbonation, light-medium body.

Growler pour courtesy of ericandersonavy. Brown color with a tan head. Medium roast malty, nutty aromas with mild chocolate. Rich, smooth body. Milk chocolate, nutty sweet flavors with some leafy hop bitterness to balance.

Growler. Aroma of soy sauce, malt, and vanilla. Flavor is bitter chocolate, brown sugar and roast malt. Its a bit thin, dark color, with asian food flavor.

PPRBSG09. Growler. Pours a brown body with a thin tan head. Chewy dry malt. Vanilla oat and some light woody herbal notes. Caramel malt and a a slick body. Nice.
