The yeast taste was fortunately not present, which gave room for the fruity and spicey notes. A good refreshing ale and relatively "clean". maeib (4743), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 28, 2006 Bottled. A blonde beer with a thin white head and a touch of lacing. The aroma is hoppy and slightly peppery spicy in a very Belgian way. The taste is also spicy hops. Rather thin in the mouth and a little salty, but still nicely pleasant. harrisoni (6828), Ashford, Kent, England

Good quality hop nose, some astringency. Having drunk a lot of French beer this last month or so, this is one of the better ones. I really like the hop aroma on this. Good in mouth with hoppy finish reminiscent of the flavours of an IIPA but far more subtle and far less in your face. Nate (2554), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 1, 2004 Mild malt sweetness and weak fruity hops. Mild fake caramel. Dark orange-amber clear with no head. Light body with medium carbonation. Light sweetness, caramel malts, with some acidity. Light bitter finish and after. Tastes more like a lager than a Belgian ale to me. NosirIwont (1182), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark
