Nov 9, 2009 Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of fruit, yeast, and some malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, fruits, and nuts, leading to a dry finish - nice. From the name I’d expected smoke - where is that, but still a nice beer.

Dec 2, 2005 33cl bottle from Auchan, Calais. Attractive aroma. Golden colour with sediment in suspension. Good quality hop nose, some astringency. Having drunk a lot of French beer this last month or so, this is one of the better ones. I really like the hop aroma on this. Good in mouth with hoppy finish reminiscent of the flavours of an IIPA but far more subtle and far less in your face.

Jun 17, 2003 amber-orange colour, few foam, aromatic hops and a touch of apricot in the nose, full-bodied with a decent finishing bitterness, the aftertaste is dry and very long with a predominance of the aromatic hops and also notes of malt, caramel and smoke - very good
