This bottle was a couple of years old. Yeasty smell. My girlfriends says it smells like some medicine! Almost pink in color. Light champagny head. The flavor has some herbs in it but it also suggest that it might not be at its best after couple years of storage... Not disgusting but not the best beer ever. I always give some credit to brave attempts, however!

Bottled(250ml). -Toxic green coloured, medium to big white head, perfumy genepi nose. Very sweet and almost syrupy; genepi is dominant here. Also sweet finish with hint of lime in the finish. Not so pleasant mix.

Bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado (thanks!). Poured an odd shiny green colour that reminded me a little of olive oil for a second. Coloured with e102 (tartazine, yellow dye) and e133 (brilliant blue fcf), both known allergents. Lovely. Medium sized white head. Fizzy. The génépi can be detected in the (light) nose, which is a little radlery. The taste is light as well, soapy génépi is noticable (reminds me a little of thyme). However, it’s too sweet for its own good, sticky even, which doesn’t fit the herbal génépi taste at all. I guess the taste has taken a hit or two in the last couple of years because this is hard to drink and not very likable.

25cl bottle. Available in the Sherpa Super market in the Avoriaz ski resort. Lots of green weed/yeast in the bottle, of the genepi flowers. Very thin white head, clear green body with large parts of weed floating in it. Aroma of yeast, herbs. Funny light bitter, sweet flawor.

had this in a bottle walking down from the infamous tour de france stage...le alpe duez. comes in a small 10 oz bottles. cant remember the abv. think it was slightly higher then average around 6-7%. this one catches your eye instantly because its frickn green. light clear grean with a bubbly white head. this was the second one i had of this style so i was becoming familiar with the flavors. everything on the bottle was in french but learned that genepi is a flower that is home to the sovoy region of france. also genepi can be some sort of liquor made of wormwood which is used in the mind altering absinthe......this was a funny little beer if you can call it that almost a minty herbal flavor...sweet and crisp. like mommas flapjacks. this also had a alcohol bite to it that made it quite undesireable to drink. the mont blonc version was a bit more to my liking. so put that in your pipe and blow it or smoke it. im giving its appearance a 5 for originality.
