I shared this bottle with some "swillin" friends of mine who quickly came up with the nickname of "Yak Semen"...At any rate, I enjoyed this brew quite a bit. The aroma was a light blueberry with honeysuckle mixed in. Hazy yellow appearance. Medium body with good carbonation. Blueberry and light citrus flavors up front--with some interesting light spices in the back ground. Very interesting and suprisingly easy to drink.

Got some blueberrys in the aroma.Pours a hazy gold with a light head.Flavor is the same as the aroma.Medium mouthfeel with a fruity finish.

Cold 11.2oz bottle: Pours a clear medium orange color with a layer of ivory bubbles. Aroma is of sweet malts, honey, apples, dough/bread and lemon. Taste is of sweet malts, honey, bread and notes of citrus. Light bodied and effervescent. Ending is lightly sweet and malty with earthy notes and light citrus.

11.2oz bottle: Cloudy light orange with a thin white head, earthy dough aroma with some oranges, mild carbonation, oily texture, starts and ends lightly bitter, with a smoky ending.

Pours a three finger white head that fades to a ring leaving some lace. Clear amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Sweet malty nose. Starts smooth and bready, more balanced at finish, the higher ABV is well hidden. One of the better French beers I’ve had. $3.40 for a 330ml bottle from Liquid Solutions Tigard, Or.

(Bottle at Sous-Bock, Paris, 16 Oct) Pale amber colour with copper notes. Small, disappearing white head. Fruity nose with notes of apricots. Slightly closed. Fruity flavour with pineapple, apricots and spicy hops in the finish. Medium to full body, full flavoured with some alcohol coming through, not overly sweet though. Tasty and warming.

330. Pours dark, still straw with a big sudsy white head that heads for the door the first chance it gets. Good god, the nose is super freaky funky strong. Sour horse blanket barnyard, bordering on manure. Not a pleasant first impression. And that’s served probably a little cold for the style. Eee--the sour funk dominates the palate, too. Too much. Wild yeast running wild in a pachinko pinball machine of -cillus and -myces generations in your mouth. Not fun.

Pours a golden color with a thick white head. Aroma is of citrus, earthy spices, and yeast. Flavor is of orange, lemon, coriander, and yeast. A slightly bitter finish on this one. A very interesting brew, not bad but not that great.
