The_Beer_God (2856), Newport News, Virginia, USA Oct 3, 2004 Bottled. Purchased at Le Petit Vaudree. Dark brown with reddened hues inside it.. Medium tan head. Nose is flowery and laden with hints of dark fruits (prunes?) and light spice notes.Taste is sweeter than the aroma would let on. Candy sugar, light spice, and malty notes round out the flavor. Body is somewhat on the lighter side and is sort of creamy. Finish is sweet and flavorful with light chocolate notes. Pretty good stuff!
Allen (644), Wölflinswil, Switzerland Oct 3, 2008 Bottled 25cl. It pours a nut brown beer with a small beige head. Honey, candy, vegetables, caramel, cherries and metal in the nose. The alcohol is rather present. Gluey with hints of burnt sugar. Honey, caramel, vegetables, hay, brown sugar, wax and candy in the taste. Not much lacework. Sweet malty. Low bitterness. This beer reminds me a bit of vitamalt. Some dates sneaking in. Metallic. Unpleasant sticky components. A hint of onion in the finish.
