1996 bottle at Kulminator. This dark brown beer pourd with a thin beige head and a magnificent caramel aroma. The beer has mellowed very well into a sherry-like taste. Plum , raisin, toffee, milk - complex yet simple.

The 1996 vintage at Kulminator. Pours dark reddish brown. With a decent beige head. Aromas of reddish fruit and smooth roast malt. Mild, almost no, carbonation. Near full bodied. Finishes not quite dry, and somewhat sherry or calvados. A really smooth and tasty ale. The bottle was crusty from Dirk’s old cellar. Quite a treat.

25cl 1996 vintage from the Kulminator, pours dark brown with a tall very frothy tan head. Aroma is roasted and smoked malt with some brown sugar and light liqorice. Flavors are very pleasant...time has done good things to this beer. Roasted malt and some fruity yeast flavors fill the mouth with a creamy feel and round out with a light spice of cinnamon and some raisin flavors in the finish with absolutely no sign of alcohol. Just lovely.

25 cL bottle, 2001 vintage from DHVL, 9%. Pours dark brown with a small of-white head. Fruity and dark malty aroma. Sweet fruity, estery. Light chalky note to a dark chocolate and dry roasted malt flavour. Subdued bitterness. Light fruity and yeasty finish.

Bottle. [vintage 1996]. Bought @ Kulminator, Antwerp.
Pours a dark brown with a creamy yellowish head. Aroma is sweet, spicy with loads of rye bread. A sticky oily substance. Flavour is Belgian sugars, rye bread and a light vinious streak. A little too sweet and christmassy for its own good.
