| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 11, 2005 (Bottled) Deep, dark red color with a large, tight and lacy head. Nutty, sweetish-malty, syrupy rye-pudding aroma with old strawberry jam and vanilla. Quite hoppy, winous and slightly alcoholic, sweetish-malty flavor. Fruity and slightly sugary. Medium to full-bodied, quite carbonated palate. Hides the ABV well. An enjoyable dessert brew with some scotch ale character. Nice! dornoy (681), Lyngby, Denmark
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 19, 2005 Light brown head on a deep dark amber-ruby body. Very full taste, fruity aroma and taste, very nice indeed. Berries, citrus, caramel and roasted malts combine to give an exceptional experience. First-class beer, it reminded me of Duchesse de Bourgogne. A masterpiece of a beer. Too bad the bottle was a measly 25 cl ! aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
