Commercial Description:
Bailey's Ale is a hoppy blond ale named after our happy blonde labrador. It's made with a bit of malted wheat and Centennial hops for a refreshing citrusy finish. It's unfiltered and bottle-conditioned for freshness. We hope you enjoy this beer.

750 ml bottle. Bright gold with a huge foamy white head. Aroma is mostly citrus (with grapefruit dominating) and floral hops, though there is an undertone of honey. Taste is citrusy and the finish is somewhat bitter,

Thin head but excellent carbonation that keeps a swirling skin of bubbles on the surface of the brew throughout the duration. Beautiful to watch. Fruity aroma. Cirtrus (grapefruit) from the good helping of hops. Very fizzy in the mouth and very hoppy. More than what I expected from the aroma. Nice bitterness with no signs of alcohol. Some lemon and grass also. Slight biscuit flavor and aftertaste. Good tart, dry bitterness at the finish. A very good brew that I was plesantly surprised with.

2003 bottle consumed 9/2004. Pours a wonderfully brilliant gold with some softer lime green/yellow hues, mountains of white foam and lacing and a vigorous carbonation rising. Bottle conditioned, as with all of their brews. Aroma has some very fragrant hops, lightly bitter and citric (lemons and limes mainly). Hint of malt sweetness and a bit of drier wheatiness and sweatiness. Flavor is bold; moderately bitter with a good amount of malt backing it up. Beer needs to breath for a while to let the carbonation even out. Lots of lemon sugar cookie flavor, but more of the hops as well on the finish. This is what I would imagine a great blonde ale to be: fresh hops, ample malt and a refreshing but not watery medium body.

Medium sized white head, good retention and lace. Clear gold/ orange hued brew. Lightly citusy nose, peppery. Light body. Fruity flavors, yeasty, lemony notes, some grassiness. Dry finish.

Hazy, yellow appearance with a big, long lasting head. Aroma of grapefruit and flowery hops. Medium-bodied mouhfeel that was well carbonated. Big hop bite from begining to end. Finished clean, crisp and dry.

Just couldn’t get into this one. Poured a HUGE head with even the gentlest pour. Tasted excessively bitter without the flavor essence of hops, and a bit of sourness to boot.

It looks like a great what beer with a frothy head and cloudy yellow body. The aroma is both sweet and sour, bready and full. The flavor is too flat in my opinion, and somewhat "herb-y". The finish is thin and too carbonated with hints of hops. Overall, pretty average.

Draft at VT Brewers Fest - Golden amber in color with a fairly big whitish head. Aroma is of citusy hops and yeasty malt. Flavor is fairly strongly hoppy with the citrus coming through here as well. Slight sweetness as well. Finish is somewhat too short with a nice amount of hop bitterness.
