Commercial Description:
Finally an American-style IPA from us... This beautiful red-orange ale has a full malty body balanced by a fruity apricot/grapefruit nose. Mounds of dank Summit hops in the whirlpool and dry-hop additions provide a deliciously quenching finish to this East meets West-coast ale.

Tap at RNH. Amber pour with a thin white head. the nose is very hoppy. Fresh and grassy with a lot of orange peel and sweet tropical fruit. It’s a quite nice, lingering hoppiness on the back. A light touch of pale crystal malt on the back adds a kiss of sweetness to the orange/tangerine hoppiness. A solidly assertive bitterness.

An amber IPA with a thin creamy off white head. A good intense floral hops aroma, citrussy ad almost meaty. In mouth, a good IPA with resinous floral hops, mentol, warning alcohol. Warming and smooth IPA, a nice example of the style, complex and lively. On tap at Cisco Brewpub, Logan Airport, Nov. 15 2009.

Bottle @ RBESG 09 Grand Tasting @ [ The Harlequin, Sheffield, England. ]
Unclear hazy medium amber orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, heavy hoppy, flowers, grapefruit, orange. Flavor is light heavy sweet, moderate citrus acidic and light heavy bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090719]

Very strong offering here. Had some on tap at Rattle n Hum in NYC. Pours a nice orange hue with a medium, white head. Very hoppy nose with hints of flowers and citrus fruits. Flavor is deeply hoppy. Nice lip-smacking, bitter finish.

Bottle at RBESG 09 Sheffield. Cloudy gold, thick rocky beige head. Just too yeasty, metallic and gushing. Jesus, tha’s hoppy. Hop juice. Even for me that was just too hoppy.

Rocky, foamy head atop a hazy light orange. Lots of carbonation. Head is stubborn. Color changes with light and depth/thickness. Nice floral and citrusy hops in the smell. Malts are dry and bready. Citrus and mild pine needles. Sweet, perfumey, floral; outstanding. Hops first, a little chlorine in the taste. Malts are pale and bready. A bitter IPA, which would use more of a balance. Definitely solid, could be a bit more malty. The feel is thick and creamy. Fizzy. It’s a really nice, fragrant IPA. Could have more malts in the taste. Solid, unbalanced.
