Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 23, 2002 Pale tan; doughy malts, ultra carbonation that really messes with this beer. Some hop in the finish. argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA Oct 27, 2002 Cloudy orange and pours with a big off-white head, some sediment. Aroma is hoppy pine and grape, slightly spicy. Flavor is more hoppy (grapefruit) than malty (doughy), though it’s reasonably balanced. Some sourness too. Finishes fairly bitter. Strange combination of being dry and highly carbonated. duff (5405), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Aug 25, 2005 Updated: Sep 2, 2005Tap. Cloudy orange amber. fairly easy going, lightly floral hops, and sweetish malts, light and refreshing, but nothing else, a little thin. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jan 31, 2005 Hazy light orange, off-white head is timid. Almost smoky aroma with house cleaning stuff hints and a tart tingy. Sweet and floral yet tart and earthy. Growing spicy hops bitterness, light carbonation. A bit stale. CaptainCougar (4637), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jan 22, 2006 Pours a transparent copper amber with a thin, wispy off-white head. Dry toasty pale malty aroma has some earthy hop presence. Full, malty and bittersweet body has some mild light fruitiness toward a dry, mildly hoppy finish. A decent pale ale, but somewhat bland.
