Falconseye8 (522), Cartersville, Georgia, USA Mar 27, 2005 Built in the home of the world’s largest six pack. City Cream ale is much better than the other versions of this drink except of course for the New Glarus. Call me crazy but this tastes good. Underrated in my view. If more people had tried this their point of view might echo mine or I just love wisconsin beer. Thank you JPDIPSO for getting me this brand of beer. tomxcs (315), Golden, Colorado, USA Jul 29, 2004 The Cons: Really no aroma to speak of except for light corn and malt. Looks like a slightly darker yellow macro lager. Some malt flavors come through but very, very bland overall. There are some hops but they might as well not be there. The Pros: There’s no real reason to drink this except for the fact that it’s probably one of the best swillin’ beers you could buy. It goes down like nothing. It’s also not anywhere near horrible and can be quite enjoyable in the right setting. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jul 26, 2004 Updated: Jul 27, 2004Thin fizzy head, goldish-yellow color. Not much aroma at all. Wtf is this? Flavor is very light... all I can really taste is a sweet hoppiness. Too watery and too much carbonation bite. arjoseph (557), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 3, 2004 Bottle into Trappist glass. Not much of a smell. Golden yellow like a lager; visible carbonation; no head. Tasted like it looked (macro-ish), but with more body. I don’t really like the lighter beers, but as they go, this one wasn’t bad. I’d never had a cream ale before, so I thought I’d try it out. heemer77 (3782), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jun 3, 2004 Thin whote head. The body s a bright gold and does not appear appetizing. The smell is skunky with dirt. Wierd since I bought this with other City brews and none of them were skunked. The taste is a slightly caramel with a little cream. Medium mouthfeel. Nice try, but this one misses with me.
